I asked some of my dear friends how they managed to cope when life knocks them down. They all came back with varying responses. Each of their unique personalities shines through their words and I found it so touching to hear what helps them, I learned a lot about my friends reading their coping strategies.
It’s important to remember that we got through the most difficult times in our past. We’re still here. It’s so empowering to recount the difficult paths we’ve been forced to take.
We hold on to so many things that cause us unnecessary pain, stress, and suffering.

I feel like my purpose in life now is to shine a glaringly bright light on mental illness. I feel that by helping others out of that dark place is the best and most powerful way to truly honour my sister.
